What WrenchCircle is
WrenchCircle is an iPhone app that connects people fixing their own cars with people nearby who can help: someone with the part, a tool to lend, scanner access, a lift or garage space for an hour, a second pair of hands, or a junkyard runner. Coming soon to the App Store. For adults 18+.
How it works
1. Post what you’re missing and when you need it. 2. Get offers from car people within the radius you choose. 3. Chat, meet, and mark “I got help.”
Fees and payments
Posting, offering and chatting are free. In a Street deal, members pay each other directly. In-app payment for Protected deals is coming soon: the buyer pays exactly the agreed price by card, WrenchCircle holds it until both people confirm the handoff, then pays the seller minus a 10% service fee (minimum $1). Payments are processed by Stripe.
Refunds and cancellations
For a Protected deal, either person can cancel before the handoff is confirmed and the buyer gets a full refund to their card. A rental deposit is only a hold on the card and is released when the deal is complete. Once the handoff has been confirmed, a problem with the item goes through Report a problem in the deal or an email to support@wrenchcircle.com, and a person reviews it. Street deals are paid directly between members.
Safety and privacy
Other members see your general area, never your address. Block or report anyone in a few taps. Meet in public places and check part numbers. WrenchCircle is not an emergency or diagnosis service — if anyone is in danger, call 911. See our Safety tips and Privacy Policy.
